From paint to textiles, clay to community art workshops, Anita Luckett loves to get her hands dirty. The very physical making of art has been a lifetime love affair that she loves to share. The mental stimulus of creative work helps mood and memory and can make a real change to both the people who make the work and the communities who host it.

Personal projects allow Anita to explore new techniques and themes and the delight of creating a commissioned piece that perfectly meets the ideas of the people looking for a unique statement or to capture a memory is a special challenge she loves to take on.

Anita works in a range of media including oil paint, acrylics, charcoal and graphite media, inks and airbrush and textiles. Sculpture in clay, paper and found objects also form part of her practice.

For the last 10 years Anita had lead the scenery team for St Margarets Players producing the backdrops and larger props for the annual pantomime and classical performances  for their productions with teams of volunteers drawn from the local community.

She has recently been working towards an MA in Fine Art at UCA Canterbury.
